He studied Arts Appliqués at Ecole du Louvre at the Musee du Louvre and Contemporary French painter who has been described as a surrealist and expressionist. Born in Asnières, he apprenticed in theater set design while taking art history classes at the Louvre where he immersed himself in old masters such as Rembrandt and Vermeer. His work is both unclassifiable and timeless because it reflects the inner, moody world of a music-loving artist living apart from society and questioning man in general. The artist often depicts his muse and wife the painter Nadine Véfour. The contrast between the precision of the drawing and the colors that are both soft and bright give his works a special atmosphere and life. This impression is reinforced by iconography inspired by his imagination, fantasy, surrealism, mythology or legends without ever forgetting a realist perspective. Boeri is best known for his figurative oil on canvas paintings woman, florals etc. His paintings are generally signed Boeri and characterized by vivid visual textures and a naive almost folk art perspective. His work bears the influence of magic realism. In 1953, he met Nadine Véfour on a beach in Antibes. She was sixteen, finishing her studies in high school. They fell in love and became inseparable. She gave up her piano studies and devoted herself equally to painting. They married two years later. Jacques and Nadine then continued their travels leaving for the North Cape, Algeria, Afghanistan and Central American. They fell in awe of this last destination. In the years 1960-1970, Jacques joined the Society of French Artists. In 1970, during a collective exhibition of French Artists in New York, he was spotted by the Jean Mary Gallery, located at the time on 3rd Avenue. Immediately he began to exhibit there and success was instant. Each year the art dealer would come to the studio in Asnières to buy works that he exhibited in New York and Chicago. Works by him were then selected to be exhibited at the prestigious Pushkin Museum in Moscow. From 1980, he was represented by the Galerie des Cinq-Sens on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Boeri is best known for his figurative oil on canvas paintings and are characterized by vivid visual textures, a naivety of perspective and slightly surreal themes. He has shown with Claude Gaveau, Jean-Pierre Serrier,

Marie Deloume,

Frédérique Giusti and Carlos Nadal.

Exhibitions: Prize winner at Salon des Artistes Fançais, Paris 1963 Salon des Artistes Indepéndants, Paris 1964 Saint Germain des Prés, Eveil, Paris 1966 Exhibition of French Painters, Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto: Japan 1969

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0996/4021/3802/files/mobilejpegupload_E7E2CC6372C845328C79C2A723ECF8CE_master_1ef1fe07-06c1-45dd-af2e-761ef99c5363.jpg?v=1780512039
https://lionsgallery.com/products/large-french-naive-oil-painting-jacques-boeri-fauvist-color-surrealist-fantasy
